If you’re planning to travel through Vietnam in June, Sa Pa absolutely deserves a place on your itinerary.
Tucked away in the mountains of northern Vietnam, Sa Pa is one of those places that feels completely different from the rest of the country. While Hanoi is buzzing and busy, Sa Pa gives you misty mountain views, cooler air, beautiful rice terraces, and that incredible “above the clouds” feeling.
For anyone travelling through Vietnam in June, this is a fantastic stop. The weather is generally warm but much cooler than the cities, making it a perfect break from the heat, and the landscapes are lush and vibrant at this time of year.
My hotel pick: KK Sapa Hotel
I’ve actually booked this hotel myself for my own trip, so this is a genuine recommendation.
KK Sapa Hotel looks incredible, especially if you’re after comfort, mountain views, and a touch of luxury without spending a fortune.
Highlights include:
stunning mountain and valley views
spacious modern rooms
spa and wellness facilities
indoor and outdoor pools
fantastic location close to the town centre
💷 Prices are currently showing from around £43 per night, which is brilliant value for this standard of stay.

Why visit Sa Pa in June?
June is a brilliant time to visit because the terraces begin to come alive with rich green colours, and the cooler mountain climate makes it feel refreshing after the heat of the cities.
It’s perfect for:
mountain views
photography
trekking
local markets
relaxing luxury stays
If you’re travelling north to south through Vietnam, Sa Pa is a fantastic stop before heading back to Hanoi and continuing your journey.
Personally, I think this is one of the best-value luxury stays for this part of Vietnam
